Company Nurse

Overview

StraightArrow's Company Nurse will be responsible for the general health condition of employees, compliance to mandatory requirements including health related policies, medical benefits administration and clinic facilities and maintenance.

They will also provide support to employee engagement programs related to health and physical well-being of employees.

Key Responsibilities

1. General health condition of employees
   • Provides basic first aid to all employees such as dispensing of medicines, BP monitoring and similar incidents
   • Maintains and updates all clinic records and files.
   • Ensures that employee health records are monitored and flag issues as needed
   • Provides needed support to Company programs related to healthy living and working conditions
   • Provide assistance to employees requiring confinement
   • Reviews results of pre-employment medical exams as well as annual physical exams
   • Facilitates conduct of annual physical exam through coordination with Maxicare
   • Handles requirement for FTW, sick leave approval and medical clearance
2. Mandatory compliance
   • Part of the SHE Committee. Attends monthly meeting and act as SHE Secretary when necessary
   • Ensure 201 files are in order and records are intact
3. Benefits administration
   • Conducts monthly orientation of medical benefits for newly regularized employees
   • Maybe asked to do other tasks related to medical and HR functions
4. Clinic maintenance
   • Ensures that mandatory clinic facilities are in place and regularly maintained
   • Clinic management including medicine replenishment

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Nursing or equivalent
• At least 1 year of work experience as a company nurse is required for this position
• Good English communication skills
• Experience in policy-writing an advantage
• Must have First Aid & Basic Life Support Training
• Preference will be given to applicants with BOSH certification (Basic Occupational Safety & Health)
• Willing to work on a hybrid set-up, following the US Shift (7PM - 4AM)
• Has a stable internet connection of at least 25 mbps
